Camping 2013

We decided (sort of last minute) to go camping.  Point Beach is one of our favorite spots- the beach is beautiful, the camp sites are just a short walk from Lake Michigan and it's only an hour away! We took Tucker camping when he was a baby, here's the link to that trip.

First dinner: sausage, potatoes, peppers and onions.  Cooked in foil over the fire- yum!

Tucker loved helping Jared build the fire.  He was cracking us up- hiking around the woods looking for sticks-ha.

We decided to leave at 11p.m. on the last night due to a lightning storm and pouring rain.  We quickly tossed everything in the truck and moved the sleeping boys to their car seats. No biggie- we just fired the camp stove up on the driveway the next morning and made blueberry pancakes for everyone.

I never thought I'd be much of a camper- but I actually really enjoyed it.  I do think it would be a little more enjoyable (and I could probably last longer), if we had a camper (there were seriously no other tents around us- only pop-us and RVs).  We'll definitely go again. I think it will keep getting more fun and easier as the boys can do more.
